I'm Kate and I like plants.
Kate Kasbee is the recipe developer and content creator behind Well Vegan and the author of Well Vegan: A Starter Guide (2015). Her first cookbook, Frugal Vegan, was published by Page Street Publishing in 2017. She is also a contributor for CLEAN® and Fooda.
A true Midwesterner, Kate considers pizza to be its own food group and feels most at home in the kitchen, cooking for whoever is willing to try her latest recipe. Though she’s always been obsessed with food, Kate’s passion for cooking really took hold while attending Matthew Kenney Culinary in Thailand, where she became a certified plant-based chef. A wanderer at heart, Kate’s recipes are inspired by her travels and the flavors of her favorite parts of the world.
Kate lives in Southern California with her small dog and a massive collection of spices.
